The blog Firedoglake has had extensive coverage of the Republican National Convention protests and the police violence there. They have some folks out on the streets, and they quote, among others, Starhawk, Indy Media, and the Coldsnap Legal Collective defending the arrestees. I wish it was the New York Times -- but it's a national audience, and that's a start.
