My thermometer said 100.0, but the nursing home's said 98.2. I think mine was right -- Marsha had low spirits and low energy, something I've seen before at around 100. So our Thanksgiving was kind of flat. We'd planned a meal similar to past Thanksgivings -- shrimp, sushi, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing, and chocolate cheesecake. (No fried chicken this year. Marsha goes back and forth on whether she eats meat. After her last hospitalization she came back a carnivore, but since the 100.9 fever she's a (fish-eating) vegetarian again.)
She ate most of the shrimp, a bite of sweet potato, and a little taste of the cheesecake. Hopefully she'll have more of an appetite tomorrow.
