Apparently I whistle while I drive, when I drive by myself. I have no memory of whistle/driving thirty years ago, the last time I drove regularly, but I conclude I must have, partly because of the completely unconscious way I started up again, and partly because of my repertoire:
All rather jaunty, though the Piaf is only so for ironic effect.
- Edith Piaf's "Milord"
- Music, Music, Music ("Put another nickle in, in the nickelodeon")
- A bizarre mashup of "The Horse Goes Around With His Feet On The Ground" and "Turkey in the Straw".
- Alice's Restaurant
Very strange, to think of that habit resting unused and unchanged for thirty years. Presumably one day I'll start whistling things that didn't exist in 1972, now that time has started again for the whistle/driving part of me.
