|Marsha is in the Intensive Care Unit

Saturday afternoon the nursing home folks found Marsha unresponsive, and sent her off to St. Mary's by ambulance. In the ambulance she went into seizures, and they diverted to MCV (the teaching hospital connected to the university where I work). The seizures continued for at least a day, and I think two.
She hasn't regained consciousness. That may be partly because of the (anti-seizure) sedation, but her doctor says that people who keep seizing for more than 24 hours usually have a bad outcome.
She also had staph infection in her blood, so they're giving her antibiotics, and they are (still?) keeping her blood pressure up with drugs.
I'm not optimistic -- though if anyone can beat the odds, it's Marsha.
